Packaged Sewage Pump Station
MAK Water’s Packaged Sewage Pump Stations (PSPS) are designed to receive raw domestic strength sewage into a below ground collection tank. The raw sewage is macerated to ≤ 2mm particle size, before discharging to a wastewater treatment plant for treatment. The standard package includes a polyethylene tank with access cover and all required PVC pipework, valves and fittings, dual macerator pumps, lifting chains and guide rails, dual pump controller and float level switches.
A range of common flow rates and tank sizes are provided to suit most wastewater applications. Optional equipment upgrades are available, including tank and access cover materials and a valve chamber, if required.

Real-world examples
The Balama Graphite project will be the leading global producer of high purity graphite. The front end engineering and design (FEED) was awarded to a Perth based engineering firm, who subsequently carried out the engineering and procurement for the project. As a reputable and renowned market leader in design and manufacture of packaged water and sewage treatment plants for the resources sector, MAK Water was awarded the contract to supply the project’s water and sewage treatment plants.

Exxon Mobil’s PNG LNG Project required a Potable Water Treatment Plant (PWTP) and a Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) to service the 630 man permanent facilities compound in Port Moresby. Recognising MAK Water’s expertise in design and manufacture of high quality, fully automated, packaged water and sewage treatment plants for Oil and Gas projects, the construction contractor engaged MAK Water to design and construct the plants. Further to the offsite manufacture and supply of the plants, site installation and commissioning assistance, and a service agreement to support the facility operator were also provided.

Operation and Maintenance for Immigration Facility
One of the world’s leading provider of border control and immigration services was having problems with its Sewage Treatment Plant (STP). The plant was running unreliably, using a large amount of chemicals, and required a lot of operator input to comply with its environmental license conditions. MAK Water was asked to review the operation and propose a solution that reduced its ongoing costs and ensured that the treated effluent was compliant prior to discharge.
